Portrush Harbour by stray_shooter

Portrush Harbour

Dipping into the stock of photos taken this past summer. This is one of the towns that we stayed in on our trip to Northern Ireland, Portrush, on the northern coast. There were so many scenic spots to photograph, but the main focus of the trip was golf and....well, enjoying and sampling the local refreshments, so I didn't get to shoot as much as I would have liked.

The Open Championship will take place in this town this coming summer and I'm still trying to figure out where all of the people that come with that event are going to stay.
Gorgeous fav.

Oh memories, I used to live in Ireland. Nice processing, really brings out the textures. Probably people rent them rooms during the Open! It's what people do in Edinburgh during the Festival. But it would be interesting to know, wouldn't it?

What a beautiful harbour, I love the colourful boats. Most of the boats in our marina are white and expensive too.

@dianen Thanks Diane. I think clouds are underrated and under appreciated. With the processing abilities we have now there's so much you can do with them.

@casablanca Thanks so much - it's a truly beautiful place for sure. I did ask around and it seems they are bringing in quite a few temporary housing units - specifically for the broadcasting folks. That's a whole city by itself!

@onewing Thanks Babs. As I recall there was one for sale for in your marina for 900K recently. I'm still interested!
