During my recent visit to Wild Animal Park, I happened to catch a couple of the park's newest residents enjoying one of their first outdoor adventures. These guys are brother and sister and they were enjoying only their second day outdoors. They are a little under four months old and the caretakers were getting them out in their more natural elements. Their playfulness and comfort in the outdoor arena gave the handlers much confidence that they are coming along just fine. The female impersonating the landing ramp might disagree.
The handlers' job seems like a fun one. I'd take it!
ha ha about the unusually bright colors in one of my pictures, the tulip one in particular. Every once in a while I manage something on the cheery side.
@taffy It's a great point you make, Taffy. At Safari Park, I know they go to great lengths to try not to domesticate the animals there, but with those great cheetahs and as playful and cute as they are, it has to be hard. Thanks so much for your feedback.
@lyndemc Thanks Denise. Yep, that would be a great job for sure. As a matter of fact, one of the cheetah handlers there happened to be a member of 365 here a few years ago. I don't think she posts any more, but I was lucky enough to have conversed with her a few times. She had some great behind the scenes photos from her job. Miss those.
