The parkways of my town are adorned with day lilies like this, which makes for a scenic trip. These caused a problem, though, when they had them in the center dividers as they grew so high that drivers couldn't see around the corners and roundabouts. This resulted in several damaged fenders and formerly friendly neighbors becoming less friendly. The town solved that by removing those that presented an obstacle and allowed people to grab what they wanted for their own use. Stupid me, I failed to act, and as a result ended up spending a fortune on my landscaping.
Lovely colours, detail and depth of field Ron, what a great solution to the central divide problem, no doubt like you we would have missed out on the free offer, lol:)
In the early 70’s I visited my mother in El Cajon, I was stunned by the road side landscaping. Texas had sand and weeds on the roadsides. Now we have some hardy plants, but nothing as beautiful as your city roadways. These are beautiful!
@louannwarren Thanks Lou Ann. Yes, for some reason, the Golden State places a high priority on beautifying the roadways. At least in this case I know where my HOA fees are being applied!
