mr. zits was above ground today and catching some fresh air. as you can see, he only has the inner panel of the left leg of his pants, and a little bit of his shirt. he's quite excited he would soon get to this quite colourful tie. he takes a strip of fabric from his suit and weaves it making a long, really long something. see the rug behind him on the ground? that's what he's woven so far out of his suit since last monday when he started. and it's connected to him, over his belt in the front, down under his crotch, back up to his belt behind him and down on to the ground.
the idea of this exercise is to get people to talk - a conversation starter if you will. he says people don't talk anymore, they're always on their blackberry or cellphone. during this week, he had made a lot of friends, usually women, who would stop by to say hello. so the end product actually is of no use nor serves any purpose (other than a rug, maybe).
well, good luck to mr. zits. how it was this afternoon whilst i was interviewing him, people stopped, most wouldn't talk, unless mr. zits called out hello or how are you. then they took out their cell phone or raised their blackberry and captured mr. zit's image, then they walked away without saying anything.
mind you, while conversing with him, his cellphone rang (it was in one of the pant's pockets) and he had to answer the call. the media people are on their way to cover him (no pun intended).
Very true of today's culture and I have to say it is not just the younger generation. Is Mr. Zits ( seriously is that his name?) doing this as a one time experiment or does he start on a new suit once this one is all gone? Really great street shot and information, thanks for sharing.
good to know he's managed to hang on to a pocket in which to store his cell phone ;D sorry to say that as a conversation starter, he's some ways behind our mayor, montreal's mayor, and the blue jays... how 'bout them jays? :D
ps - great pov and comp... and such excellent processing!
