i said STOP THE CAR!!!! by summerfield

i said STOP THE CAR!!!!

this was the "STOP THE CAR" moment from last sunday morning. it was the way the sun was shining on them and the way they created shadows upon each other, as well as the shadows of the electrical wires. i may have to give this a go in my elements program to see if i can bring out more of the colours.

when i told partner i would like to take a few more pics with the afternoon sunlight in them, we drove up on the way to dinner at the lake. surprise! the drums weren't there anymore. looking closely now at the shots, the drums had 'return' marked on most of them.

tomorrow, a closer look at the drums.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; i appreciate them all.
Yes! Def worth stopping the car! Glad partner obliged!

I see this and think what a great selfie or portrait location. VERY cool looking place. Love the rust, colors and lines! Stop the car, indeed!!!

'Tis one of those moments. Nice.

I'd be stopping the car too! Yes, the light has washed out some of those colors and you could recover them in post processing no problem. Good eye and good shot!

@espyetta - he's been on the look out, too, for something like this ever since someone bought one of my photos of a rusty run-down car. you can bet he gave me grief by being director, you'd think he's james cameron or steven spielberg. hahaha! thank you, MB.

@amandal - sadly they're not there anymore. would've done a selfie, but the director wouldn't have any of it as he was busy ordering me around. :-) thank you, a.

@netkonnexion - thank you, damon.

@olivetreeann - yes, a little bit more saturation but, you know me, post-processing is not one of my strong points. :-) thank you, ann.

@kali66 - thank you, kali.

@salza - hahaha! i was afraid i'd get nearer and i'd have tetanus! thank you, sally.

@jackie8 - apparently it's what sells these days. thank you, jackie.

@678tabby - thank you, june. we did have a decent weather last weekend, and then monday came and it's been intermittent rain ever since, and dull and grey!

@ithinkithunk - thank you, kristen.

@sticksandstones - hahahaha! sometimes the beautiful landscape can get to be so-so. the dark side...yeah, sometimes i like it there. thank you, kid.

@barneyone - thank you, rita.
