sunset reflections

it was a funny day today in terms of weather. very cold, we are in the minus temps now. and windy. a few minutes before five, i saw the sun's golden rays streaming through the windows of our office. everything was golden! i took my time to get my camera and walk over to the south end of the hallway and things changed so quickly. the only golden reflection left was on this ugly building and the southern sky shown a bit on the right. if you look closely, you would see the little speck in the sky just above the horizon: that's a plane landing on the island airport!

my little wahoo, the purple cow, is part of a group of toys here on 365 and she goes on fridays. today she made her debut and you can see it here: http://365project.org/365toygroup/365 follow her and her group's adventures in the next 52 weeks. :-) if you have a toy and you like to photograph it, you might want to join in on our weekly themes which shall happen starting next week.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
Sunsets never last long enough to plan for a shot ! you just need to be there and ready when it happens. You still got a wonderful reflected sunset for a unique image!

I like the lighting, it reminds me of a scene from Gotham.

Great capture of a mean and moody looking sky! Nice reflection in the building.

Hi Summerfield, I'm your GP partner this week. You have done so many already but your list is really good as a reference. I would like you to shoot an abstract using shadows.

I rather like the building on the left helping to frame your shot. What a great view that is and so high up.

You never know how long something atmospheric is going to last. But now you know to be on the look out for it next time!
