sting and run by summerfield

sting and run

inspired by the 1973 movie the sting, this is the last of the little pink piano series. i really have no idea what to do for this but i like the theme music from the movie so i had to improvise. what do they have back during the big depression? gambling. booze, and great entertainment. i think. i don't remember much of the movie because the whole time i watched it, i was busy drooling over paul newman and robert redford. but it was a great movie. i think. :-)

there's more props here so i thought i'd incorporate the darn little piano and its little lamp unlike the previous six photos, but at least i had the sense not to go find the hats the actors wore in the movie. and here's the best part; have a listen:

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are genuinely appreciated.

Hi @summerfield ! I'm back, and we're paired up once again for get pushed week 129. As a fellow "old timer" on 365, I'd like to issue you a retrospective challenge.

My challenge is for you to look back at the photographs that you shared during your first month or two or 365 and choose at least one to redo - show off what you've learned in your years of shooting or how you would approach that same subject/shot/topic differently.

What a wonderful composition - so much to look at, love how you kept most black and white and then popped in color with the piano. Love it!

Fabulous set up. I remember the name of the movie but that's about it! I shall have to look it up later when I get to the laptop. I find using the phone for some research is just frustrating!

great comp, now I'll have to get the movie from the library. I don't remember much if it either, but I wasn't drooling, just getting old and not remembering as much as I used to. I had an unbelievably great memory back when I was twenty or thirty.

LOL I don't remember a thing about the movie either (except that you never saw the end coming whatever it was!). I do remember thinking Robert Redford was a very handsome actor (teenage heart) and Paul Newman's eyes captivating (repeat statement about teenage heart although I did marry a guy with eyes that are just as blue!). The theme song (Maple Leaf Rag) was played by every friend of mine that took piano lessons. I had switched to guitar by then so I never learned it. I survived.
