soliloquy by summerfield

soliloquy

the lady stood there on the rocks by the lake shore for a long time, unmoving.

maybe she's wishing for the cold weather to end, for the trees to turn green, for the wind to be a little bit kinder. it's not getting better in here, i think. no signs of spring at all. nothing.

thank you for your favs on yesterday's book cover post. they are so much appreciated.

One does see lone figures staring out in the water! I guess its a good place to just think! I looks a bit windy here too but a lovely blue colour in the lake!

Obviously a lot of contemplation going on there. Love that blue. Won't be long until that tree is full of leaves, right?

Really nice composition and the addition of the person is a great bonus. I sincerely hope that your spring makes itself felt shortly!

Interesting how we're able to superimpose our thoughts on another to suit the mood. Funny how we might find we're often correct!

Maybe she was frozen??! Maybe she had turned to salt, or more likely to an ice sculpture?! I certainly hope she was not contemplating suicide after such a long and brutal winter! Hopefully just lost in her thoughts, but she provided you with a wonderful subject for this capture!

That could be me. I love solitude by a large body of water. It is not a sad thing for me- but a happy one. I wonder why we automatically assume that someone is lonely or sad when we see them standing alone like this? I love the composition and balance between the curved tree tops and straight horizon and the human interest aspect with the woman and the bench. fav
