i like this particular bucolic scenery - lines of trees that serve as demarcation lines between farms or crops. they look like sentinels, albeit alien-ish. they appeal to me more when they are bereft of leaves, or just beginning to grow buds. they have more character that way. i should remember to shoot them in the summer, but it's just that i never really notice them when they are not this way.
i cropped the bottom to remove the crappy dark fencing - even without the crop the trees are still in the bottom third of the frame. as well, three evergreens on the far right were cropped off just to remove any distraction from the view. i kept all of the sky. sunday was rather dull and cold and thus the colours are also dull. everything about this photo is grey and brown so a black and white treatment was it.
