aloe plant à la imogen cunningham

i passed by a home with a cacti garden. everything are just succulents. this is an old aloe vera plant in a large container. they must put this in a heated basement or in a glasshouse during the winter for it to survive. and it reminded me of one of imogen cunningham's photographs. not as intense as cunningham's lighting which i can't quite get in pse.

here's the inspiration: http://www.imogencunningham.com/page.php?page=display&return=archive&menu=archive&print=BOT50&index=144

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.

I thought this was an abstract at first and then it just popped into my vision and made itself understood. Very subtle

The plant looks as if it has shark's teeth on it! I thought aloe vera was a peacemaker!

@panthora - i'm pretty sure you'd do well and around there you can perhaps easily find some very willing models, lots of aspiring actor types. you can even do selfie as you have nice shape and excellent form (not to mention bendy :-)). i'd have done nudes for the artist challenges but i lack a model (the ones willing are pffft ugly) and selfie is not an option (too old, too fat).

I like the pattern, though the prickles look a bit spiky!

I like the way all the little spines are illuminated.
