into the golden days of summer by summerfield

into the golden days of summer

come away with me into the summer
and we will walk on the green grass
as our feet crush the dew drops in their blades
and our face turn red in the heat of the sun
and you will love me all summer long
and i will love you long after it's gone
come away with me into the summer.

ending this week's theme for the 'hang it all' challenge, the shrink's office would look nice and spiffy with this late afternoon beach scenery.

and yes, i used to write a lot of short, especially four-liners, poems in my youth, usually to put them in the note cards for whoever was the homme de jour at the time.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly and sincerely appreciated.

It has a feeling of heat but a cool sea breeze, activity, non-activity but not crowds! Perfect!

June 16th, 2015
@grammyn - the great artists, they do mad on a grand scale - you know, cut their ears, drown themselves, marry their underage cousins, snatch someone's husband or wife. we little peons artist-wanna-be's yes, just a little bit!

It looks like the ocean! Why did Christopher have to move to Texas? I didn't get to see all the things I wanted to see in Michigan before they left! Great shot and nice poem!
