mixing kettle by summerfield

mixing kettle

at the distillery district once again. this is an original mixing kettle which was used for blending antifreeze and other denatured products. the kettle was made on-site by the coppersmiths employed by Gooderham & Worts Distillery (they were lucky, these days everything is sourced out, to workers in china :-P). it has a double-shell construction which was so designed to allow the circulation of water to regulate the temperature of its contents.

the self-imposed challenge for the next little while is "industrial", so there won't be much of a colourful or sweetheart photos in this album. no need to comment.

industrial is defined as "anything having to do with the business of manufacturing products; but not utility, transportation, and financial companies."

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
I find this interesting with that shape and textures!

Heavy duty piece of equipment! Too bad the flash sort of blotted out the words- or is it just worn off?

@olivetreeann - haha! no flash, just worn out, like me. :-)
