this is a corn and soy processing plant along the farming district east of sarnia and west of london, ontario, right smack in the middle of those two cities.
i did something dangerous - i took this while driving (i rented a car in london so i could go around the area using the secondary highways), well, at 40 kmph, slow but still dangerous as i almost ended up in a ditch, twice. i promise i won't do it again. mounted the camera on the tripod, lens on auto, and using my remote control. still, i had to look where the camera is approximately aimed at. the car did go into a ditch but i was able to get out, without damage to the car, only my ego was bruised, mind.
moral lesson: gotta have a wingman or a buddy. advantage of this trip: a week's worth of posting. and i realize i now hate bus trips! i should've just rented a car all the way. :-P
the storm that was famously predicted around the area did not materialize, but for a couple of hours of distant thunder and ligthning and an annoying drizzle that managed only to make some roads a tad slippery. the ditches were still bone dry.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are so much appreciated. i shall start catching up again shortly.
@nanderson - the ditch was really shallow, thankfully it hasn't rained around there so it was quite firm. there was just a small scratch on the bumper, not noticeable. i don't know why i did it, i couldn't even chew gum and drive at the same time. i was a bad girl. :-) thank you, nance.
laughing. the things we do. wonderful shot. i tried taking shots from the back of the bike, leaned the wrong way, mal was not impressed at all. last time i did THAT. your's is awesome. glad you are ok.
