one of the nice things about the Christmas season is that there are plenty of places where you can shoot with bokeh. this i shot at the office. one assistant's desk is bedecked with some classy decors and she has a little tree behind her work station and that's the bokeh you see here. shot this from the vacant desk behind her. because how else are you going to shoot a little lock and a large lock? and yes, locks galore in my bedroom drawers, the keys to which are all over the place. i have this thing about keeping stuff securely, then i forget where i put them. the good news is that i know i will find them...someday.
i will tag this for the new ETSOOI challenge since i processed this in-camera to increase the d-lighting and straightened it as it was a little bit askew. it was still too dark so lightened it some more in photoshop, then i processed it some more in ribbet where i turned it into black and white, then faded it to 50% and painted back the background. turned it into black and white again and did the same thing. don't ask me why, i just did. then softened it by just 10% which was kinda stupid because the locks were soft to start with. then i went for a bowl of ice cream and a piece of godiva truffle. tee-hee!
I liked the low POV and the bokeh of course! I really need to get on that bokeh wagon! So far each one of your images for Ann's challenge have been exceptional!
If only locks could keep everyone out of places they do not belong, yet seem to insist on trespassing. Lovely shot. I like how the bokeh peaks through the lock.
My apologies for being awol this week! Life just became overwhelming but I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things. I'm enjoying your big/little series. Very clever! Your processing steps sounds like what I do to a picture when I get going with it too!
