dianna @dmcoile is my partner this week and her challenge was to "Take a closeup/macro or abstract of yourself wearing some kind of holiday attire or jewelry - I'm thinking of a detail shot that shows the holiday item and that you're wearing it."
in my foray to the frame shop today, i passed by the dollar store so i grabbed a tinsel garland. i had a high key snowy shot in my mind but of course, it being thought of at the last minute, i couldn't figure out just how to do it right. i had this idea of painting my eyelashes with white glittery nail polish but i balked at the last minute because if the polish got in my eye, i'd be dead meat. this santa hat which we got for free from subway sandwiches was lurking around after i got out my old suitcase. i know i had five of this at one time but the rest of course is missing.
Very cool effect! I still want to try it but I seem to have misplaced the link. I have just remembered that you wanted a link from me for the unravelling shoe. I shall find it and send it on when I boot up the laptop later!
@dmcoile - thanks, dianna. the effect is called panography-ish or possibly just panography. it is done in ribbet.com. it's the processing program i use more of than photoshop. i only use picmonkey when my photo is already posted.
Thats very clever putting the "here' on for a connection!!! I want to fav this for all the laughter and excitement you have given me over the year with your photographs! Aside - this is delightful - you have caught the light on the colours of the tinsel!
