skate and text, that's what's going on with the guy in the centre. young people who may come upon this post, tell me: what is so important that you cannot put away your mobile or smart phones and just enjoy whatever it is you're doing? the skating rink is actually quite big and it was filled with a reasonable amount of people on this evening. it was actually quite pleasing to see that people were actually talking to each other and just having fun skating. yup! until this guy abruptly paused and just stood there for a long time, looking at his smart phone.
for the street challenge and the six-word story challenge.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
well, when you come visit and the rink is open (that's in the winter time, but i doubt you'd want to visit your son in the winter here) i will take you there! :-) @maggiemae
I'm with you V. I don't understand what's up with the "need to see/respond immediately". I just shake my head when I see my kid do things like this. LOL
Excellent use of SC, great twofer.
It depends. If it's the tone for an email, I will ignore it 'til later. If it's the tone for a text message, I consider those a bit more urgent; especially if I'm expecting a message from my sweetie.
Great SC capture. And for the record, I can hardly chew gum and walk at the same time. There is no way I'd be able to skate and text at once. I like that @bill_fe will stop everything for a message from his sweetie. And @barneyone is probably right; the message likely reads: whr r u? (which is another matter altogether).
Sweet capture summerfield....................Such a nice activity, I love skating!
I'm planning on taking my kids and grandchildren skating over the holidays!
He was probably checking his 365 account to see if he had gotten any more FAVs!! Just kidding, of course..... I suspect it all has to do with his buddies trying to get him to do something else that is more fun than going around in circles on the ice! Great capture and story!
