we're feeling rather cultured tonight as mr. padraigh penwyn and his lady friend miss tami-san brought me to a play. why, mr. padraigh was even being gallant by inviting dragon, once thought to be his arch-rival, who happened to be visiting grandy. (see here.) although dragon actually suspected that mr. padraigh's real intention was to show off miss tami-san to him because miss tami-san could be a dead ringer for the former katy-katsuko. but dragon didn't say anything about it nor i don't think he saw the resemblance.
at the end of the night though, dragon remarked to grandy that mr. padraigh that "that pompous welsh actor" was a rather decent fellow tonight and wondered what he was up to.
