"It refers to the capability to detect the taste of substances such as food, certain minerals, and poisons, etc. The sense of taste is often confused with the "sense" of flavor, which is a combination of taste and smell perception. enough said. i have to get back to the carrot cake, and chocolate mousse cake. see ya later, a couple of pounds much later.
@northy - i understand carrot cake. what i don't is carrot cake with bacon bits on icing, or chocolate cake with bacon. i know, i know, but some people think they're great. chocolate cake, yes. bacon, yes. chocolate cake with bacon, end of the world!
Looks delicious. I cannot conceive the idea of putting bacon with either carrot or chocolate cake. Years ago I would have chosen chocolate over carrot cake but now it's the other way round.
Bacon and chocolate? What? Why? On their own each is a powerful member of the brown food group... but together? End of the world - such as we know it ;p

Keep my sugary stuff sugary! And keep my chocolate pure. I hope the temporary relief of the carrot cake and chocolate mousse was enjoyed and that you'll be feeling better soon.
@northy I don't know why that works and other sweet things with bacon do not sound good at all. But, yes, I have been known to dip the bacon in the maple syrup when I'm having pancakes.
