opting for the bonus word for today. chrysanthemum is the flower associated with the month of november. allen gardens in toronto always have a huge display of this flower during the fall and they are huge and come in so many different colours. my favourite are yellow and white, they look so soft and creamy i always think of butter when i see them.
speaking of butter, and as it is now the start of baking and cooking in preparation for the holidays, i have one tip for you, beautiful folks. if you had forgotten to leave your butter out to soften it for your baking, run it through the cheese grater or shredder and it will soften much faster. now, there's a sensible tip and i hope you will leave me some of those cookies you will be making.
thank you, kind folks, for your visits and comments as well as your very generous favs; they are tremendously appreciated.
I always go for a 5 second blast in the microwave although your tip sound so much more sophisticated and 'proper'. The yellow, I imagine, but the form of the flower, I can study here.
I love chrysanthemums as well. They have a sinister fame in Italy as they are associated with the day of the dead and used to decorate tombs, but I love them as well and like to have plenty of them in my home when it's season.
@domenicododaro - that's funny, because it's almost the same way back in the old country. there's another kind that is dried and then stringed as a leigh for statues. thanks, DD.
