toronto has been covered in thick fog since late last night. when i woke up at seven this morning, the fog was so thick i couldn't see the corner units of my building as i normally see them from the bedroom. the building in front of us was totally out of view. it's just white, like being on a plane in the midst of thick clouds. anytime i was expecting to see an angel land on my balcony, at best. or worse, a plane.
by eleven the sun showed up as a perfect ball of bright white only to disappear again. i pity those whose flights had been delayed as the fog was even thick at ground level. it was totally surreal.
late in the afternoon, i decided to take the bus and go downtown and do a test run of my early Christmas present (from me, of course). went to my old haunt the football field at broadview. as the skyline was still enveloped in a hazy glow, lots of photographers lined the elevated edge of the field with their tripods in tow. the temps were really decent, too, but i didn't linger long. walked along the danforth and checked on the Christmas lights which weren't up yet although the trees and decorations were already in place.
and with all that, this is my only offering for today.
love it
