there was some kind of festivities at kensington market last sunday, which was great because the weather with clear skies and the sun shining bright and the temperature a whopping 32 celcius for may, and i think torontonians were feeling quite festive. what i like about these festivities are the giant edition of games we play indoors, like scrabble, chess and this, jenga! i think some people were not very daring or probably the pieces were rather heavy and pulling one would simply cause the structure to crumble.
funny thing, or maybe disgusting, depending on how one feels about it - right next to this was a vendor selling giant wooden phallic statues. i didn't quite know how to react but i decided i wouldn't waste my camera's shutter actuation on it. not being a prude (which i am definitely not!) but i thought there's a different venue for things like that, like amsterdam. you know!
Not keen on having one of those statues in my garden! I'm surprised some parents didn't protest! However, other games like scrabble would be fun and with temps like that - a great place to be outside!
This jenga game is certainly interesting. I would not want to move a piece and have them spread all over everywhere, which I'm sure they would be. I certainly agree with you. That vendor should be in Amsterdam, not there in the street with all the young kids.
Your narrative is hilarious, you write extremely well (I'm a real fanatic about things like that). As for the statues, Bali is rife with them too, most of them anatomically impossible.
