a very slight crop to remove the dark upper corners but, yes, sooc, using the new lens and the camera (a fourth generation canon 60D, whatever fourth generation means) that came with it.
kitchen light filtering in from the left, window light from the far right, grey skies and mist.
@northy - 15-85mm was on sale at henry's. the 18-200 i'm using on my old 60D had fallen twice and a piece of plastic broke off its base that now the lens is rather loose fitting on the camera, although it still works. since i have a 70-300 and 2 other prime for the canon, i thought i'd get the 15-85 since i use the canon mostly for indoor shots. when i checked the price at downtown camera, it was $200 more than the sale price at henry's. i asked to try the lens and they mounted it on a used 60D. downtown then offered the lens with one of the used canon cameras for an additional $100. i opted for the used 60D as it is the same as the one i have and i don't have to learn things again. my old 60D is limping now as its shutter actuation is more than 200K now and the one that came with the lens only has 4K. that's why i say i bought a new lens which came with a camera, albeit used.
Well done.
