hot creamy butternut squash (minus the cream), and olive bread dipped in extra virgin olive oil and cabernet merlot balsamic reduction, or butter if you prefer. a glass of gewurztraminer would have been perfect as an accompaniment but since i can't have alcohol, warm apple cider was a good alternate.
for dessert banana flambé sans ice cream.
then sitting on the rocking chair by the window, enjoying the sun and leaving the windy -11 temps for the braver souls, reading The Milliner's Secret by Natalie Meg Evans, an epic and heart-wrenching love story set in wartime Paris.

for week 4 of the 52-week challenge's story telling segment, we tell a story that makes us feel warm inside. this should do it, literally and figuratively.
That's a good take on this - we all seem to be finding this challenge more challenging (like the movement with the rule of thirds) - it's finding these images within a week I find tough.
Great composition and commentary. Makes me feel warm inside just looking at the photo. Definitely the place to spend the day, rather than out in that weather. Brrr.
