an old braided faux hairband. i've finally albeit slowly getting to the boxes and i saw this in one marked "beautification program". along with this were ribbons, scrunchies, clips in various colours and sizes, and hairpins, too! of course, i wasn't using all of them but when my niece was a little girl thirty some years ago, i bought her many hair stuff and clothes. then she grew up.
so everything is packed in smaller boxes to fit in the box intended for my sister in the old country. there she has the neighbourhood children that she teaches art and bible and she would use little stuff like this as an incentive for job well done or for good behaviour. what our young people here would take for granted is prized somewhere else.
