time never runs out.
it goes nowhere.
it never stops for anyone.
it waits for nobody.
it is neither a friend nor foe.
time is just is.
it's unbelievable that in a few days' time it will be officially summer. because do you notice the days getting longer?
i spent an inordinate amount of time trying to come up with a post for today. it's been a very busy week so far and i haven't had supper yet. it's very humid today and i kept getting interrupted with visits to the loo because i've been drinking cold or iced water all day.
perhaps the earliest we may be permitted to go back to the office is september, according to a memo released yesterday, and even then attendance will be voluntary, as we are allowed to continue working from home, if we so wish. i had difficulty doing a rates comparison today because i needed to look at different documents and i had to do it by switching screens. i couldn't make my printer work with the laptop i'm using for work so there was no way i could print anything. i had to handwrite my draft and even then i had at least three false starts before i could finally make a cohesive report. i want to say i lost so much time but that is not a correct statement.

Dali-esque look at how to represent time as art! I agree with you that this pandemic time has made our understanding of time so different. Is it Monday? Or Saturday? Does it matter? Is it spring or summer -- who knows? Another day done but what did we accomplish today?
You shot that clock?!? Impressive! A fitting post for your situation today. Holy cow, no office presence until September?? Seems a bit overly cautious, but I guess the experts know better than we....right.
Great job Vikki. Although many people here are now able to return to their offices, a lot are choosing to still spend some of their week working from home.
@stray_shooter - it's an actual clock that was hanging in my ex's son's home a long time ago. i think when the son and his wife separated the wife brought the clock with her. lucky i had quite a few shots then. thanks, ron.
I think your office should provide the necessary tools to work from home. Itās unbelievable all the tech gadgetry my sonās company installed at his house mid February. I am sure if you ask for a proper printer they will provide one.
I love your āDaliā clock and your processing, this is a wonderful image. I knew it was yourās before I saw your name. š
@lesip - still from home. the intended renovation of the building's balconies were deemed non-essential by the provincial government so there was a stay. i had asked the church if i could use part of the premises and they agreed, but since the reno didn't go through i was able to work entirely from home. that could change though and i may have to try and figure out how to "hot spot" and work from a nearby park if anything. or i can ask permission from the office to work there but there's so many restrictions and they're on a daily basis so there's no reason to really go back unless we are ordered to. i'm kind of liking working from home and would be wary to go back, i just might retire at the end of the year. but we'll see what happens. thanks, friend.
