this here should satisfy this week's "break the rules" theme of the 52 weeks challenge. man is right smack in the middle of the photo if you imagine the rule of thirds grid. but i'm sure that you will agree with me that this is compelling enough to justify breaking the rules -- the story of a man walking alone, as if on a mission, in the vast space of the world, all land, water and sky; that we are but a speck in the overall scheme of things, yet if we stay strong and resolute, alone or together, we can achieve that which we want to achieve.

darn, i'm so full of it like a politician! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜œ

should i remove that speck of dirt that is actually a seagull?
Hey... at least he’s social distancing!

You have broken a rule that I frequently break, I like subjects in the middle of photos. I would remove the seagull

Rules? We don't need no stinkin' rules! Centered works great here, nice job! ...and yup. Remove the distracting gull spot imho. ;-)

The point where the sky, water and grass meet is a focal point for me. The gull is good.

Fabulous photo! I’m saying lose the gull. You sound more like a philosopher than a politician! FAV

I really like the way the blue section cuts across the image.
I would remove the spot (bird) as it is so small it does look like a dirt spot.

he is perfectly placed - I do agree. As soon as you mentioned the speck of gull, I tried to pick it off my computer screen. Doh!

Call it a bird to balance out the scene. I'm not sure where else you could have place the man in this view. Well done.
