we waste it, we do
and take it for granted, too
until it runs out.
we cannot hold it
but we feel its hold on us
it's early or late.
"time is a storm in which we are all lost." - W. Williams
my time started at before 9 and ended well after 6. 'twas a good thing i took a full hour lunch. sometimes being reliable and willing to work is probably not a good thing. then the fire alarm went off twice in the afternoon so i had to work out on the balcony. hah! those damned pigeons didn't stand a chance, although at some point i almost lost my cane. it would've been a disaster if it fell out of my hand and landed on someone's head twenty-two floors below. yes, there were construction men working right below.
Great lighting and comp. Loving the haiku. Though the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy states that the trick to learning to fly is to throw yourself at the ground, and miss, please try to refrain from falling down large heights, or even smaller heights. In fact, just refrain from the whole falling thing all altogether.
Do I have the correct apt #? 2209? Something tells me you moved to another floor.
Excellent poetry- so true! Glad to hear the cane did not pierce any construction worker below and hope you didn't freeze out there on the balcony!! Nice time piece.
