treasures

today, i received an early Christmas gift from a dear friend who has so much confidence in my painting ability (or my future painting ability, or my perceived painting ability) that she parted ways with the paint brushes she's been keeping for years, which her father had given her. darn! pressure is on, i better get myself in gear and learn how to paint properly. šŸ˜Š

my friend, thank you so much, i will take care of these forever. as a matter of fact, the small size brushes are just the thing for my next project. the calendar is awesome, too!

and if these didn't arrive, i almost posted a photo of a feather. almost, not quite.

"the edge" - how do you interpret that in a self-portrait. click here to find out: https://365project.org/fiveplustwo/365/2020-11-11
I'm so glad you are inspired by them! This was the first step in a long journey for me- there is an attic full of memories and objects that are still useful and need homes where they will used and loved. When I pass something on as I did to you, I really find a lot of joy in it. The brushes are meant to be used- not stuffed in a drawer- and now Dad's gift is giving all over again! Happy painting and enjoy the calendar.

What a wonderful gift. @olivetreeann has the right idea ā€” something Iā€™m struggling with. Letting go of things we no longer use, so they can bless someone else.
