waiting for the light to change during my walk this morning, i looked down and saw the space between pavement and road full of these tiny leaves. the colours really grabbed by attention and i couldn't look away from it. i couldn't resist; i just had to take a shot.
it's the canadian thanksgiving weekend and my niece prepared a feast. i was very good in that i didn't stuff myself like i used to, just took a small portion of a couple of things i like and that was it. but it was something else when it came to the desserts. it was a choice between ice cream and a simplified cassava cake which was left a bit too long in the oven and the sides were just crunchy. being the older member of the group, i had first dibs at it and i started scooping a large portion -- a two by two square portion but i caught myself in time so i just took half of it but stole the one side of the crunchy portion. in my previous life, half (well, almost half) of that cake would've gone into my plate and although i partook of that dessert, i was still proud of my self-discipline. it's just to say, when i got home, i was still hungry and had to eat my salad. and now it's time for the psyllium husk. 😂
happy thanksgiving to all canadians the world over; and to those not observing this holiday, i am thankful to have you as my friends.
Happy thanksgiving to you!
Love this photo of God’s leaf mosaic! Beautiful colors! It would make a marvelous puzzle.
