this is the west side of yesterday's post. as you can see, it's still mostly green/yellow-green, except for that one tree that had a couple of its branches turned colours overnight. this is looking west, yesterday's was looking east. whereas yesterday's coloured leaves were on the north side of the tracks, the coloration on this side is mostly on the south side. it's a darn right conundrum and good thing i'm not some science savvy person or i'd be giving a lengthy explanation about the why's of such.
today was such a beautiful day and my sister had plans for us to go to high park in the west end of toronto to take pictures. but train closures derailed the plans. first, she was stranded at a train station for almost an hour where there was "police activity" which resulted in the suspension of service of ten stations and buses for that station were halted from coming in. then we met up somewhere out of the way of the trains and then i decided that we go back to the danforth and have lunch there instead. when we got to the danforth train station, we found that the trains were back in service so we went back to our original plan to have lunch first. then we hopped on the train to go west but halfway through the trip, our train went out of service. it was a good thing that we were in a midtown station and it was just walking distance to her apartment so we decided to just abandon the idea altogether and we just roamed around the provincial parliament building on the way to her apartment.
At least you could manage a Plan B, that's something. I don't know why you get this phenomenon. Something to do with sun access and prevailing wind angle probably! Very pretty either way
Clever title for your scientific observation and photo! I think I would have given up much earlier on your day given all the obstacles thrown in your path!
