i bought a few really large Christmas balls and placed them on a plate to spiffy up my desk at the office. the young lady on the other side of my quad placed some curly ribbons around them and we were satisfied with the festive look. it gave me the idea to do this for my post tonight.
i waited for december to be able to do week 19 of the 52 captures challenge which asked us to "Be creative with Christmas: Set out to make a creative Christmas image using what props you may have lying around." and voilà!
i have a few weeks of catching up for this challenge but i should be able to complete this 52 captures challenge before the year ends! 😜
@30pics4jackiesdiamond - there are no tinsels sold here anymore. the one and only time i have seen tinsels here in canada was back in 1990 when i bought a live tree which i decorated with gold balls and burgundy red ribbons. then i added the tinsels. tinsels are actually banned here and in the states. apparently some animal rights activists made that happen because cats and dogs were prone to eating them and made them sick or die. the nearest to the tinsels we have are foil garlands. i might have a couple somewhere but i can't find them. but since you have been subtly and nicely hinting, i will try to have one this weekend for your challenge.😉
As long as we are suggesting challenges….this fits wonderfully with the current Minimalism challenge (theme holiday) which coincidentally I am hosting…tag is minimal-25 if you are interested!
I like the bright golden orbs.
I did a little research because I didn't know, until I saw the comment on your "tinselish" photo that tinsel had been banned. It was banned in the US in 1972. What have I been doing all that time that I didn't know it.
International pigs Thursday see if you can join in and heckle
