tomorrow, i will be treating the family to a buffet lunch then they will come to my apartment to stuff ourselves with more food - cheese, double-smoked smoked salmon, and wine. i will be making a simple charcuterie before i leave for the lunch. i could've made it for this photo shoot, but i prefer to cut up the cheese a few hours before they are partaken. i have two vintage chianti classico and two alsatian gewurztraminer. i've taken out my oversized wine glasses and cleaned them to a good polish. if i'm a betting person, i'd bet they will only consume the cheese and chocolate except for the two impressionable boys who will likely sample the wine as much as i will allow them. in ontario, the legal drinking age is 19 but those under 19 can consume alcohol provided by their parents or legal guardian in their own home. the boys are 20 and 18.

although the railings of my balcony have been installed, they have not been inspected yet so access to my balcony is still a few days away. unfortunately, i won't be able to properly shoot the fireworks. p.s. i don't think i'd see any fireworks anyway as the fog is thicker than the face of a certain third-rate american actress.

A lovely start to your family celebration as far as food goes. Hope the cut and burn weren't serious, although I'm sure they were at least painful. May 2022 go better than today.
