it is very rare to see this particular part of toronto literally without gridlock traffic, on a sunday holiday afternoon. but then you get to appreciate those lines and curves. i had to convert this to black and white as the light is atrocious and took away from those curves and lines. this was bay street looking south towards the lake.
our province is on lockdown mode for the next two weeks starting wednesday. it's not so much that the rise in new cases but the hospitalization rate apparently is steadily rising.
Fabulous architecture, is it near the beaver tail place?? Sad you're back in lockdown Vikki, back to wfh? @monikozi I think you'd lose that vanishing point, unless cropped as a wide letterbox. I think the pedestrian gives scale.
Awesome composition, Vikki! So sorry to hear we are going back into lockdown for 2 weeks - I guess I should follow the news more often!
It will definitely hit you more than me - I don't go to town often and a lockdown does not prevent me going for my daily walk with the dogs!
@grammyn it's all about the math... case counts are rising quickly... percentage-wise fewer are landing in the hospital, but overall numbers are still getting high... 😔
I like the empty streets of a city. Sorry you're on lockdown again. Numbers are climbing high here again, but no need to put us on lockdown because I don't think there's the ability to enforce it. @grammyn Don't you suspect that people aren't reporting or even getting tested for mild cases? Therefore those numbers don't get entered.

How is it possible the case numbers are NOT rising but the hospitalizations are? It seems thy should be hand in hand. Stay safe.
