i was actually crouched down to take a photo of the two walls, you know, for contrast in textures. then i figured the street numbers could add a bit more of interest. looking at this now, it does look more interesting that just the walls.
my iphone is failing miserably. some photos would not upload to my laptop saying the format is not supported when the photos are clearly .jpeg. maybe just carry the small camera when i go for my walks, but it would mean bringing a bigger purse and i don't relish the idea of walking with a big purse. although today i should have brought the camera with me.
i went for my morning walk after ten as i watched the coronation. we have bright sunshine and blue skies with a few clouds scudding by which really made for a very pleasant walk. on the way, there was this cardinal hopping around the bare branches of a tree in front of a condo building, which would have made a really nice half-and-half shot with the red bird highlighting the one side. but the iphone did not do justice to the zoomed in shot and i was pretty disappointed with the result. oh, well!
I agree with you. This turned out nicely with the numbers. Jason Daniels once commented that not everything was meant to be photographed, and I think he was right. You just had the pleasure of observing that cardinal and not recording it for posterity.
