i walked down to the st. lawrence market at lunchtime. on the way back, i tried to avoid the road constructions so i thought i'd see if i can shoot anything at the park. the sun was shining bright at almost two o'clock and the way the light hit the tulips at the park they looked like they were glowing!
i could see them from a distance and since there were not a of people as it was already after the regulatory lunch hour for workers, i thought i'd do a quick pass-by and take a couple of photos. there were several beds of tulips each with the same solid colours, but i liked this one with mixed colours.
i even did a good deed. there was a young couple who were trying to do a selfie (without a selfie stick) so i asked if they wanted their photo taken together. they handed me their phones and i took a few shots. they were quite impressed the way i positioned them which looked like they were floating in a sea of colourful tulips. pat on the back, i say!
tagging this for week 19 of the 52 captures challenge - photographer's choice.
These are gorgeous and ou were so right about the light Vikki. Of course you did a good deed . In spite of the personna you try to project you are a very kind person!
The colours are incredible. I like the way you’ve framed the photograph, with the trees on either side of that interesting looking bow-shaped roof structure in the middle. Those tulips just pop out at you in the forefront, gorgeous! Perfect h&h!
