it looks a bit contrived, it even looks like two separate photos, but i assure you it is a bona fide half and half shot.
this weekend is 'doors open toronto' a yearly event whereby some buildings or places not normally open to the public, as thus made accessible for the public. the son and young onyx were visiting this weekend and decided to come along with me and my sister. we were going to go to the island airport which was one of the new places included this year. on the way though, we passed by this old museum called the "william campbell house" that i've been ignoring for 30-some years. it was an old house built in 1822 and had been relocated from its original location. the museum is currently hosting a kind of textile exhibits, mostly landscapes in quilt! this quilted scenery of birch trees was hanging above an antique cabinet of four drawers.
i found out that at the art gallery of ontario which is also in downtown, wolfgang tillmans' work is on exhibit. tillmans was a featured artist in the last artist challenge that i hosted. it started in april through to october this year. just to see it, i just might get an annual membership!
