the uphill ride by summerfield

the uphill ride

at the end of my morning walk, i turned around to find out what the shouting was all about. turned out it was a bunch of cyclists talking to each other amidst the noise of the cars on this main thoroughfare as well as the highway just underneath this bridge.

the days are indeed getting shorter. it's been clear days for many days now, the promised of rain last sunday lasted for only about 10 minutes and the clouds all disappeared after that. you can see the waning moon that was taking its time to set.

i've had two more appointments for senior sitting. i'm at a loss as to how to pose the seniors as i'm afraid to aggravate their arthritis lest they get spasms or seizures. i'm doing things on the fly and so far it's been working.

there's also a weird request from a younger person to paint him and his wife from a photograph he left with me. i'm thinking i should enroll in a course for people drawing but i'm not sure i'm into that; i want to enjoy my hobbies but i don't think i should overtax myself. i'm supposed to be retired!!!!
Very interesting activity in the morning. You’ve got a great shot of it with the moon in the background.

It sounds as if you are finding lots of things to keep you busy in your retirement.

How nice that folks like your work well. Perhaps if you look at some magazines, especially ones that feature older people) you could get some ideas for poses. As for turning hobbies into work...be careful. If they become work they will not be fun anymore.
