I took this photo this afternoon at a Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust reserve near Welshpool. I love the way the angle of the sun brings out the irredescent green on the birds back. I always think of lapwings as being black and white but actually they're not.
Stunning, looks like a painting. I don't know my wildlife but even I know this is a beautiful bird! Love the reflection too. I see you asked the TP question, who knows, I have photos with few comments and faves that make it and others that seem to get a lot of views and comments and it doesn't. Very strange.
