After Sixteen Years!!!!!

Since we came to live here 16 years ago we've been hoping that one day one of our Camelias would flower. There were a couple already in the garden and we bought a couple. This is one we bought about 10 years ago and it has finally flowered. It has 3 blooms.

Well I think it's disgracefully late of it......not a cheap plant so it took its time!! I wonder why it was so long......worth it though!

@happypat We have a lot of success with Rhododendrons and azaleas but perhaps the conditions aren't quite right for Camelias. They look healthy but don't bloom. Chris moved this one a couple of years ago and now it get more light and seems happier.
