Knitted Alpaca?

We were doing a walk and came across some alpacas (it made a change from cows and horses) and they looked as if they had been knitted. I guess they had just been clipped or whatever you do to alpacas to get the wool. They made me smile.

I've never seen a recently shorn Alpaca before. It does look as if it is wearing a ribbed sweater.

Ha ha great shot, he does look knitted. I expect his discarded coat will knit up nicely into a jumper.

Fascinnating! He definitely looks knitted. All I know about alpacas is that I have a lovely alpaca sweater my brother brought me from Peru in the late 60s and several alpaca wall hangings we brought back from Argentina earlier this year. Gorgeous. So soft.
