Niamh's Christening  by susiemc

Niamh's Christening

We've been away this weekend for Niamh's Christening (although we also celebtated Chris' birthday). Niamh is our youngest granddaughter. In the photo are Christopher, Finley, Niamh and Jo.

It was a lovely occasion. We drove all the way home (from Croydon) afterwards and got back quite late. A good but tiring weekend.

Beautiful family photo. Now having a mind that wonders about the strangest and least important things, I have to ask, is that a dog or a rabbit or what that I see in your grandson's hand. Whatever it is, it looks like a well loved friend.

@brennieb Thank you Brennie, they all scrub up well don't they.

@beryl Thank you Beryl. They managed to stay like that for much of the day although Niamh changed into a short dress because she can walk now but a long dress is difficult for her to walk in.

@gijsje Thank you Bep

@carole_sandford Thank you Carole.

@gilbertwood Thank you Denise

@netkonnexion Thank you Damon. I was surprised that no-one else took pictures but I guess they know that I will and for once they were grateful rather than complaining.

@gardencat Thank you Joanne. Now, that's Woofie, a dog and indeed a much loved friend. I bought it for Finley when he was born. It's a 'Jellycat'. I bought a rabbit from the same range for Niamh. I hope she loves her rabbit as much as Finley loves Woofie.

@onewing Thank you Babs

@foxes37 Thank you Lis. I've been told in no uncertain terms that I can't have anything like as many photos up in the new house as I have here. It's going to be difficult.

@happysnaps Thank you Valerie.

@chimfa Thank you Jane. When they complain about me taking too many photos. which they often do, I shall remind them of this day.

@merrelyn Thank you Merrelyn

@daveymo Thank you Dave. We were lucky with the weather and this was taken at about 9.45 in the morning so the sun wasn't too bright.
