Our U3A group had an outing to Cardiff Castle on a very rainy day.
Cardiff Castle is a medieval castle (the round keep which is a motte and bailey castle surrounded by a moat) and a Victorian Gothic revival mansion, located in Cardiff city centre. The bottom left picture shows the castle with the modern Cardiff in the background.
@illinilass Yes Dorothy, it's part of it. You can see more of the outside of the mansion in the bottom left picture, towards the left. There's a long passage connecting it to the clock tower on the right.
I have only been to Cardif once to the Millenium Stadium as it was called then. Year 2000. The castle looks very impressive. All I know is that Alex Jones got married there! Her from The One Show…..useless info!
