This is just a young tree which has been full of blossom this year, it's best year yet. It's in the front garden, you can just see it behind the magnolia in my previous post. We chose a tree with single flowers, although cherry blossom with double flowers is beautiful, because it's a lot easier for the bees to get to the nectar.
Well that’s a great reason to choose that variety. We gave two pigeons balancing on our tree that leans over the patio. I watched them balancing precariously & they were pecking the blossom. Must check it out in the morning.
A gorgeous shot, Sue, with the pink blossoms against the soft green background! Good information, too, about bees accessing the nectar. Fav (Thank you for all your visits, comments, and favs today. It was nice to see you :)
