……..and it’s iconic beach huts ( which cost as much as a house in some parts of the country ( and you can’t even stay overnight in a beach hut!!)
Actually Southwold is a very nice, rather upmarket seaside town.
We’ve had no internet in our holiday cottage since the day before yesterday so I’m a bit behind. Thankfully it got fixed this evening.
Such a beautiful beach with the waves washing ashore! And how fascinating to see this line of beach huts! So... do people actually buy these huts, Sue, or is it possible to rent them for a week or so?(doesn't sound like it) Fav!
@365projectorgheatherb Hi Heather, yes people do buy these beach huts, you see them advertised in estate agents windows. I think they were introduced in Victorian times when it became fashionable to have
holidays at the seaside. You can also hire them for a week or a month or longer. They seem to be a very British thing, English even, I don’t know if they have them in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. I’ve never liked the idea of buying or renting one but they make a great subject for a photo.
