A Lincoln view

I had a little wander around Lincoln today while Gary was on a job.
This is St Hugh Catholic Church, viewed from the Usher Gallery, I quite like how the trees framed it.

I miss not popping into Lincoln since we gave up Lincolnshire for York. However there are such similarities between the two.

@pcoulson Thank you Peter, I'm a little ashamed to say I didn't realise that was the memorial, something I really should have known. It must be an amazing sight close up, this must be nearly 2 miles away. I shall now make a point of visiting.

@korky I agree Tony, they are very similar. I have to say I prefer York, maybe because Lincoln is pretty much on the doorstep and you never appreciate what's familiar.

I like the way the greenery cuts the image in half - makes you check out the distant view and then the local one.
