Eye of the beholder

My entry for this weeks fiveplustwo-beauty theme.

I have always believed that beauty is a very subjective thing and has more to do with personality than physical attributes.

I think, the more we like someone as a person, the more we are inclined to look for the beauty in them. And of course, the opposite is just as true. The more we dislike someone, the more we look for their imperfections and seek out the ugliness in them.

This is why I have always thought that my beloved Kitty is the most beautiful woman in the world.

This is also by way of an homage to the great @graemestevens Who's departure from 365 project has saddened me greatly. He was such a great and creative presence here and he added so much to the breadth and depth of the site. 365 is a brighter, more colourful and yet somehow sadder place without him. I am still hoping he will return to us one day.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you that this is immeasurably better on a black background.
I believe the same as you - my image is a tad different ☺

What a great close up and processing - very Graeme (he is missed!)... completely agreed with your thoughts of course. Yet there are so many who choose outer beauty still?! I'm always baffled as some outwardly 'beautiful' people can be so unattractive inside... Lovely thoughts about your beautiful (inside and out!) Kitty :)
