Brick Wall by taffy

Brick Wall

Snow, sleet, and rain -- braving the outdoors to look for something special to photograph, was reminded by my fellow Project 365er (Junko) that EOTB2 could be my inspiration since I didn't venture far and nothing looks good out there (thanks Junko!). This wall is from the building next to ours, one of the turn of the century buildings whose exterior was preserved, avoiding being torn down and replaced with the concrete/cement ones that are so common now.
Great lines and textures.

Fabulous texture. I like how you captured this image because of the rectangular shaped photo, repeated rectangles within, yet the old bricks keep it from being monotonous and sterile. The old grouting is evident in its uneven-ness, and gives evidence to what you say about it being an old preserved building shell. (I didn't need the affirmation credit but thanks!)

Beautiful texture and focus.

Nice slice of focus, and a good choice of subject matter for the challenge.

@kwind @danielwsc @emjay8 @egad Thanks for noticing the texture as I was trying to capture it.
@automaticslim @jyokota Thanks - shapes and what to highlight were part of what I was deciding on in taking this particular angle.
