I took a break today from creating new photos for challenges and experimenting and instead carried my camera with me while walking from east to west campus. The little squirrel ran by me holding this large slice of bread, then ran up the tree, and 'hid' from me as I walked by. He may have thought I was after his treasure or may have been a little guilty about stealing the bread.
It looks like a tiny loaf of bread! Very cute. He has a very guilty or anxious-looking face, not like my recent squirrel, who looked a bit grouchy. Nice job directing him into the V of the tree for the leading lines :)
Great shot i got a shot of a similar little fella on suday while walking with wifey. Great shot Taffy the look on the little chap's face is one of "...our preciouses... not bagginses... ours..."
@ruthmouch He was thoughtful in posing so well for me! @salemslot They're so photogenic - I looked for your shot, but realized you must not have posted that one. @elisasaeter Thanks so much! @steampowered With rats as the vermin, these guys are so much further up the latter that they're more like our wildlife. @topcat They are fun to watch - playful creatures. @kwind Thank you!
@amandal Thanks! I can't believe I missed it til Annette (@Anwan) noticed it! @pum71 Thanks Murlel. He was a cooperative little guy to stop there for my photo.
@boxplayer It was a large piece for him to run with down the alley and up the tree! Fun to watch him, and I was glad he decided to stop in such a good spot for me to photo.
Wow -- what a moment to capture! It's so hard to get squirrels to stop long enough to be in a photo but one with a story and the bread clearly visible is especially fun!
@jyokota Thanks Junko! And this was with my new P&S which has turned out to be a very handy purchase! @spair Thanks Susan -- glad to bring a smile to you! He made me laugh as I watched him.
