I hope I don't miss my flight posting this! I had a great time at the Falls and will add more later. I thought I'd post one of the images from my morning at the falls yesterday. This is at the end of Horseshoe Falls, on the U.S. side, looking down into the incredible energy of the churning water. A rainbow had just come out, the mist was soft but getting thicker, and I went for a long exposure to try to turn the water into one smooth flow.
Update later in the day -- I did make the flight (barely) but almost left my computer sitting on the table! Then, got home to find this on PP. This has turned into a wonderful day, even if it did start at 4:30 in the morning!
@anazad511 Oops!! Just got home and am going through my 365 comments/notes so THANK YOU for catching the typo! I've been spelling it that way all day. UGH...too little sleep and trying to post to fast. Tried to fix it wherever I did it. Thanks for the kind comments about the photo too (more importantly).
SO glad you made your flight AND that this hit the PP! It is magnificent! They need a "double fav" button for shots like this! And it would count as two favs! Hee hee Lovely! I love how you can see both the top as the water goes over and the bottom, all rough and churning...fabulous job!
@archaeofrog Thanks Katie -- I didn't leave the computer -- almost. I was all packed up, walking away, looked back to see that I hadn't forgotten anything, and there was my computer! I should never get up before dawn...clearly affects my cognition!
@taffy it shows some of them...maybe the most recent ones I think? So it won't show all of them? Just curious, I started tagging mine recently...since I do that end of the year video, and would like to know which ones were on the PP or TT.
@espyetta Maybe you have too many for the program to handle!! I think all of mine show up on the list, but I haven't actually looked to see if that's the case. I thinking tagging it is a great idea as it would make them easy to find. I've just started keeping a list -- amazing to me it is even a list! I wrote it down the first time but was fairly sure it was a fluke and would never happen again.
@fueast Oh, my camera did keep getting wet -- without warning, it would suddenly feel like it was raining, only it was actually sudden bursts of mist from the falls. As soon as it would start, I'd scrunch over to protect it!
@darylo Long exposure is one of the settings/skills I feel I've come to understand so much better because of 365 and a useful get pushed challenge. Thanks for noting it!
Hits the fav button first! An absolutely incredible shot and a huge Congrats on PP! The water is fabulous and the added rainbow enhances an already fab shot.
@espyetta I didn't even know! This is exciting! Thanks for letting me know -- there are some amazing shots in this group so it's cool to be part of it.
@taffy I figured you'd be so excited to make finalists in the theme. I have never made a 5 finalist list for a main theme on 365. One that Ross chooses, I mean. That is SUCH an honor!
@espyetta I know!! I just never ever expected to have learned so much and to see this happen. It's Nutmeg's legacy to me...silly as that sounds. It really does mean so much.

Thank you so much Elaine, Junko, MaryBeth, Lisa, Michael, and Daniel -- wow wow wow -- it's like fireworks from last night going off in my head. I appreciate your taking the time to leave your messages.
Alexis' program is really easy. Just do a copy paste changing my @ contact to yours. It would look like this, I think: http://alexisbirkill.com/365project/popularpage/getuserdetails.php?username=espyetta
Okay -- I just tried it and it works.
Gosh, thank you all so much for such wonderful comments about this shot. I have learned so much from everyone that is reflected in this shot -- exposure, balance, processing, composition, lighting, why a tripod is so important, etc. I'm excited that it has been so well received.

Thank you so much ZL,Pam, Rosie, Colie, Ross, Lunaksi, Arefin, Al, and Ana! Catherine, you're so right -- when I was pushing to get it posted rather than running to my flight, it must have been because I sense it was special (or I'm looney!). I so appreciate the way you've followed and supported me. This TT does mean a lot to me!
