It's macro Monday so I took this with my 105mm macro. It took a lot of shots to get the image I had in mind...for those interested I'll share tomorrow how I did this. I ended up liking how it turned out but have no sense of what you'll all think. Processed first in Aperture, then Color Efex to smooth out the shine.

@steampowered I usually wait til morning to respond/reply/comment, but this was too funny to hold off! Mmmm...maybe the question should be, when was the last time I was HAPPY to have a gentleman comment on my curves??
Thank you all for your wonderful response to this shot. I hadn’t expected such interest, actually, so was really pleased! For those who wondered what it is, I've posted a collage that shows how I created it, in my overflow album for today (25Feb) or if you wanted to do something like this, here is what you need:
1. iPad with wallpaper of your choice
2. spoon
3. dark room
4. (ideally, but I did it handheld, which was awkward) tripod and remote shutter release
Then, all you do is take photos of the wallpaper reflected in the spoon, then crop to make it interesting and remove link to visual image of the spoon and ta-do, you have your abstract. For the step-by-step photo, here’s the link to a four-photo collage to show how I ended up with this specific image.
@michaelelliott Thanks for the fav, Michael! I do like macro work but haven't done much of it lately. It seems like Beaver Island is the place for it with all the insects and flora, but not so much in the city. But it was soooo cold and yucky yesterday that I was desperate to do something fun photographically without having to go outside!

I'm also curious to find out how you did that!
It's a fav
